Big Dreams, Big Seas: The Importance of Failure

Big Dreams, Big Seas: The Importance of Failure

In aid of the RNLI

Patrick Winterton talks about the first successful kayak crossing from Scotland to Norway. Patrick, together with Ollie Hicks, made the crossing last summer in a double kayak. They faced relentless Force 5-6 winds, constantly breaking waves and container ship consuming mist – a far cry from the comfortable conditions they wanted for a rapid paddling and deep sleep.

The presentation will include footage and anecdotes from other trips, including their first aborted attempt to get across the North Sea.
