Evening Paddle Seacliffe Beach 16th July

If you are going to organise a paddle in the evening then check in with Cathie MacDonald first!

Twelve intrepid paddlers arrived including late arrivals in the form of over-worked Andrew R and an exhausted Tim who avoided the traffic by paddling from home in NB. The “plan” was for a lovely circumnavigation of Bass Rock with sunshine in abundance.

Cathie delivered on the sunshine (although she had a mad ten minutes when she let it rain), wind (barely a gust), mill pond sea conditions and even laid on dolphin sightings.

Great use of the abundant radios for intergroup comms although it might be an idea to turn up the volume on some of them!

I came back wondering how you could top a paddle like that to discover Chris had it in hand. he arranged a “crocodile-kayak-carrying” challenge from the low water mark back to the cars and saved a good ten minutes of duplicated treks back and forth. (Photographic evidence exists and, I hope, will appear online sometime soon).

Thanks Cathie!!
