Emergency Contact Cards

As part of our safety arrangements the club now expects that each of you will carry 2 emergency contact cards, one in your buoyancy aid, the other available to be handed to the trip leader for the duration of the trip, for emergency use during the trip. It will be returned to you at the end of the trip.

Consider the unlikely (but entirely possible) scenario of you requiring medical attention on a trip, especially if loss of consciousness were involved. Most of us do not know each other well, and certainly would not be able to contact relatives etc.

Carrying a card with the details below ensures that important information is available if required. (A group of leaders asked to provide this info whilst on a beach recently needed to return to cars/switch on phones etc to get the details – not an option in a lifeboat!!).

Emergency contact card templates are available in PDF format here  and in Microsoft Word format here. Please download, complete, make 2 copies and laminate them (each one twice). If you do not own a laminator, the club will do it for you – email safety@lskc.org with the complete contact card, we will do it and post it back to you.
