18 paddlers, split into three smaller groups, left Milsey Bay, North Berwick 0950 in dense fog which gradually lifted as the day progressed to reveal a smooth sea with very little swell. A stronger group headed out round Craigleith initially, while the two other separate groups independently rockhopped the coastline towards Yellowcraig beach, bearing more north-west to skirt the north of Fidra, slipping through the narrow channel in the rocks to the west of South Dog and headed for lunch on the beach at Longskelly Rocks.
Six paddlers aimed for Eyebroughty after lunch while the rest returned along the coast hopping more rocks and exploring channels with a little more wind against tide. 1500 saw the entire party back at Milsey Bay as the fog descended again.
