Bunkhouse/Bothy clock change weekend 3-5 Nov

Well it was supposed to be the previous weekend but travails of the Corran ferry and weather changed the timing and location:

Friday afternoon we paddled out of Kyle under the bridge and through the skerries up the Am Ploc coast. The rest of the group arrived at the bunkhouse Friday night. Next morning we crossed to explore the Applecross coast and Crowlin Islands. At the bothy we got the ingle bleezing finely whilst some prepared to spend the night. Others paddled to Plockton to take in the spectacular Saturday night bonfire and fireworks display in the bay. Sea conditions were more benign than Leith Academy pool! Sunday paddles took in more Applecross coast than down the Inner Sound to Kyle for the bothy group. For the others, an early morning swim at the Coral Beach then Carron Narrows and Kishorn Island and skerries from Stromeferry (No Ferry). Blue sky and sun over the hills gave spectacular views over the weekend, infinitely preferable to the sight of ancient, trusty, drouthy Lskc coach cronies in their swimming cozies at the pool session-(the lassies excepted!). The delay and location change were a blessing. Bring on more low pressure systems!!
