Grade A Paddle, SQF, Sunday 1st Dec

To make the most of the daylight 8 of us met at 08:30 at SQF for a trip to Inchcolm via Inchmickery.  Fog came and went at first, but had lifted enough for us to see Fife by the time we got to Inchmickery.  F2 westerly pretty much all day, but tide with us all day too – reached Inchmickery at slack.  Had to hang around waiting for a tanker before getting to Inchcolm.  Comfort break at Inchmickery but too cold to explore. Lunch at Inchcolm, then return under the bridges after waiting for another tanker.

Lessons learnt 1) food flasks need preheated to keep the contents warm 2) electrician’s tape doesn’t stick in the cold.

Good to see 2 new members (James and Julie) out on the water.
