Stay at Home Paddling !

Hi All, and Happy Easter. I do hope you are all keeping well. This is unfortunately not a trip report but just a general chat to keep us all engaged with the page now that Covid -19 has set in and travel has stopped. The weather has decided to behave now and make it even more difficult for us to ignore that desperate feeling to get back out on the water. I have been having all kinds of thoughts of getting out coaching the recent pool participants, running Sea Kayak award sessions, paddling to Bass Rock, Isle of May, Ailsa Craig and anywhere else in between but alas no. I do hope you are all following the guidelines and keeping safe. These fantastic places will all still be there for us when this is over. Big Thanks to members who have already posted items on the Facebook page including Dougie Williams, paddling in his back garden, David Simpson, reciting brand new prose from Rabbie Burns and Richard Bott with tales of wild Ravens in Iceland. Please feel free to post other interesting items on the FB page or Website and I do hope you hope you are all making time to plan future trips with LSKC, studying your tidal planning, patching your drysuit or polishing your sea kayak. Stay safe everyone and hopefully we can get back paddling soon with extra vigour and enthusiasm. Keep Safe everyone.
David Grieve. LSKC Chairman.
